Only Boys Aloud to hold virtual Christmas concert

Aloud Charity

Pan-Wales youth singing organisation The Aloud Charity is hosting a virtual Christmas concert this Sunday evening (December 20) to provide some festive joy.

The uplifting, free concert will feature Only Boys Aloud, along with special guests, performing a varied repertoire as well as seasonal favourites. The event starts at 5:00pm and there will be many opportunities throughout the performance to donate to the charity.

Like many ensembles, Only Boys Aloud have turned to online rehearsals this year. With the help of their Team Leaders, the choir – which has 250 members – has continued to practice virtually, experiencing the benefits and unity of choral singing despite not being together physically.

The group has also collaborated on exciting performance projects with former member Tom Hier and musical theatre star Sophie Evans throughout the year.

Rachel Dominy, Chief Executive of The Aloud Charity, said: “We are really excited to hold our first virtual Christmas concert on Sunday. In what has been a challenging year for so many, we hope to transport our audience away into the world of The Aloud Charity for the night.

“We are so impressed with how the members of Only Boys Aloud positively embraced the changes to rehearsals this year and the concert will be a celebration of the exceptional work they have produced while learning virtually. It’s set to be a real Christmas treat so we encourage people to buy their tickets now to ensure they don’t miss out!”
