A Swansea primary school has received a donation of products worth more than £500 from the team at Amazon’s Swansea Bay fulfilment centre.
Cwm Glass Primary School, based in Winch Wen, aims to deliver a curriculum that focuses on numeracy, literacy, science and art, whilst also enhancing the social skills, independence and well-being of its pupils.
The products donated to the school included learning equipment and toys with the aim of keeping classroom learning interactive and the children entertained.
Speaking on the donation, Omer Kartal, Site Leader at Amazon in Swansea, said:
“We are pleased to make this donation to such a brilliant school that offers a great start in life for young boys and girls in Swansea.”
Rachel Batcup from Cwm Glass Primary School, added:
“We are excited to receive this donation and would like to thank Omer and the rest of the Amazon team. The donation will help us keep our pupils entertained and inspired whilst they learn and develop in the classroom.”
The donation was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations in the UK.
Community donations are one of a number of ways in which Amazon is supporting communities across the UK during COVID-19.
