Tredegar House, Newport
4 May to 30 June, 10.30am to 5pm
Unwind in the great outdoors this half term and join the Adventures in Nature trail at Tredegar House. Dust off your detective skills and reconnect with the natural world as you seek out different locations, each with exciting self-led nature-based activities to entertain the whole family.

Powis Castle and Garden, Welshpool
26 May to 27 June, 10am to 4pm.
Shake those tail feathers and join the Peacock Trail at Powis Castle this May half term. Hunt along the Italianate Terraces and in the shade of giant yew hedges to find the footprints of some the castle’s most famous residents. Discover what’s waiting at the end to claim your own chocolate peacock egg.

Chirk Castle, Wrexham
29 May to 6 June, 10am to 5pm
Adventure awaits on the Dragon Trail at Chirk Castle this May half term. Collect your Dragon Egg and hunt high and low in the beautiful Formal Garden to find Llewelyn, our friendly Welsh dragon. From spotting giant dragon eggs to making friends with a bug, Llewellyn will show you all his favourite things to do in the garden this spring.

As spring gives way to summer, something is creating a buzz in the beautiful garden at Erddig. Follow the flight path of a busy bee through the walled garden on the Hello Honey family trail. Explore self-led activity stations and learn more about these amazing creatures and how we can help them as their numbers decline.

Penrhyn Castle, Bangor

Explore the wonderful world of pollinators at Penrhyn Castle this half term and learn more about how they keep our garden growing. Follow the bees on our Pollen Trail, make a pledge to nature in our Giant Hive, and find out how to make your garden a haven for bugs and insects. Don’t forget to collect some sunflower seeds as you leave – will your sunflower grow taller than our Head Gardener’s?

See what adventures await you in the beautiful setting of Plas Newydd. From den building and ’50 things to do before you’re 11¾’ nature tasks, to frisbee golf and an adventure playground; there’s plenty to keep your little explorers busy this May half term.
