Once again, Bridgend College is in the running for another esteemed award this year.
Following on from the success of 2017 where the College was announced as winners of the Association of Colleges’ Beacon Award, the competition has now been set for the AAC Apprenticeships Award 2018.
FE Week and AELP will launch the inaugural awards at the next Annual Apprenticeship Conference which will be held in Birmingham on March 22nd. There are six categories that make up the award, with Bridgend College shortlisted regionally, as well as nationally for the ‘Apprenticeship Provider of the Year’ category. A Parliamentary reception will take place initially at the beginning of March where the regional winners will be announced. Each regional winner will then receive tickets to attend the main event at the Annual Conference towards the end of March, where the overall national winners will be presented with the award.
“To be shortlisted for this fantastic award is nothing short of incredible.” Said Matt Williams, Director of Apprenticeships & Work-Based Learning at Bridgend College.
“We are extremely proud to be one of three institutions flying the flag for Wales at the AAC UK Awards next month”.
The College offers an extensive program of apprenticeships over a wide subject area, all of which are based at our Pencoed and and Bridgend campuses. From customer service and management, to electrical engineering and equine; learners are able to work towards all levels within their desired field.
The apprenticeship program is also aimed at small & medium businesses to retrain or up skill current staff or offer placements for apprentices to help meet the needs of a business.
