A £3.5m investment from Principality Building Society’s Commercial team to Igneous Ltd, a subsidiary of Cadwyn Housing Association, has seen new homeowners move into the latest development in Cardiff.

The Wharf, which overlooks the historic East Bute Dock, compromises of 35 brand new 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and is located on the former Wharf Pub. The stylish apartments have been designed to capture cosmopolitan city life while complementing their historical surroundings at Atlantic Wharf.

David Hayhoe, Deputy Interim Chief Exec of Cadwyn, said: “The apartments look fantastic; we are proud of this development. It has been brilliant to see people settling into their new homes.

“This development is yet another great example of collaborative work with local companies. We can’t thank Principality enough for their continued support. This first-of-its-kind project for Igneous has proved successful and all profits made will be re-invested into social housing.”

Jan Quarrington, Senior Portfolio Manager, Affordable Housing, at Principality Building Society said: “As a local Welsh funder, we’re very proud to be helping to create these important homes and will strive to do so as we continue our strategy to provide better homes for everybody.”
