Roadchef’s Pont Abraham Motorway Service Area (MSA), located at Junction 49 on the M4 in Wales, has awarded Judith Beckett, one of its longest serving employees, with the Long Service Award for her 25 years of hard work.
Judith first joined Pont Abraham Roadchef in 1998, where she worked at WHSmith as a cashier. Following Pont Abraham’s arrival of coffee chain, Costa, Judith took up the Branch Manager position, working alongside her sister and daughter. After a couple of years working at the coffee chain, Judith took the senior position of Team Leader at WHSmith. This role also gave her involvement in managing the MSA forecourt, providing her with valuable experience for her next promotion to Operations Manager at WHSmith, where she remains today.
When Judith isn’t busy at Roadchef, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and two grandchildren, as well as loving cats and stylish shoes.
Upon receiving her Long Service Award, Judith said, “It has been a pleasure to spend the last 25 years working at Roadchef. From the people I have worked alongside to the travellers I serve; I feel immensely proud to represent such a great company. It is truly an honour to be recognised, celebrated and awarded with the Long Service Award. I would like to thank everybody at Roadchef who has been part of my journey at Pont Abraham, including my colleagues and visitors I serve, who everyday make my job so rewarding!”
Gary Lumsden, Site Director at Pont Abraham commented, “Judith’s incredible dedication over the past 25 years is so inspiring. Her observed hard work and deserving achievement is excellent to see after Roadchef’s investment to rewarding and motivating staff. Judith is a great member of the Pont Abraham team, and I am looking forward to seeing her continue to make colleagues and travellers have a great experience with us, at Roadchef.”
