Christie Cook joins Hodge as managing director of retail

Former head of mortgages at Nottingham Building Society joins Cardiff bank

Christie Cook has joined Hodge’s senior management team as its managing director of retail.

Christie has extensive experience in the mortgage market, as she is the former head of mortgages at Nottingham Building Society, has occupied head of product roles with Glenhawk Financial Services and the Bank of Ireland, as well as being a former operations manager for Kensington Mortgages and Lehmans.

Christie will be leading on all Mortgages and Savings related business at Hodge, covering off product, distribution, marketing, customer origination, underwriting and first line risk issues in the process.

Christie said of her appointment: “I’m really excited to be joining Hodge during what is a key period of development within the organisation, and at such a crucial time for the financial services industry as a whole.

“I’m also delighted to be back in Wales and working with such a well-respected organisation based in the heart of the Welsh capital, as one so synonymous with the financial services heritage of my homeland.”

“In return, I’ll be looking to draw on the experience I have built up within the banking sector to date to further support Hodge as it continues on its current trajectory both commercially and culturally speaking,” Christie added.

Originally from Barry, Christie has made a return to Wales after 17 years living in Woking, Surrey. She is a mum of three and keen walker and gardener.
