The recruitment drive coincides with sustained growth for EvaBuild, which increased turnover by more than 30 per cent in the last year. The business is on track to repeat this level of growth in the current financial year.
In 2015, EvaBuild won the Fast Growth 50 award for being the fastest growing business in Wales.
The firm, founded by Managing Director Nick Evans in 2011, carries out civil engineering, construction and groundworks projects for public sector and private sector organisations in England and Wales.
It specialises in groundworks for modular and traditional building works.
Dan Jones, EvaBuild’s Construction Director, said:
“We have enjoyed a record-breaking 12 months, but in order to continue to meet the demands of our clients, we have to keep recruiting the best possible talent.
“We are committed to not only finding the best people to work for EvaBuild, but also to ensure they receive the best possible training and skills development. This is the case whether they are an apprentice or a member of the management team.
“We are winning a number of high quality projects across the UK, many with household names. This means we will have to continue identifying and attracting both young and experienced talent.
“I am particularly proud that 90 per cent of the 17 employees we have taken on in the last year live local to Newtown. Supporting the local Powys economy is extremely important to us as a business.”
EvaBuild is a finalist in the upcoming Powys Business Awards in the Growth and Entrepreneurship categories.
During the summer, the company also unveiled a fresh brand identity and website.
