In the latest of a trio of recent lettings totalling 7,000 sq ft at the Parmer Cardiff business campus in Cardiff Bay, Goldbeck Construction has signed to take space at the No 2 Caspian Point office building.

Caspian Point comprises two high quality six-floor office buildings on the Parmer Cardiff Waterside estate, with 1 Caspian Point extending to 68,015 sq ft, and 2 Caspian Point 30,500 sq ft.  Joint letting agents Knight Frank and Cooke & Arkwright secured the tenancy on behalf of landlord Parmer Cardiff Waterside.

Goldbeck Construction Limited has leased a 1,423 sq ft office on the 4th Floor of 2 Caspian Point on a five year lease. The British construction company works across the UK and Europe and has bases in Birmingham and Manchester.  It is working on car park construction schemes in South Wales including Mermaid Quay and the Atlantic Wharf scheme.

Craig Davis of Goldbeck said: “Goldbeck has decided to locate an office in Cardiff Bay as we push to become more regionalised in the UK market. We want to be closer to our clients, and Wales – especially Cardiff – is an exciting time right now with lots of major developments ongoing and in the pipeline. We have been successful on a few project wins locally which we plan to build on in the coming years, introducing more of our off-site system build products to the market.”

Mark Sutton, office agency partner in Knight Frank’s Cardiff office, said “The landlord’s recent commitment to transform the office suites and create a contemporary business environment has produced quality office space with generous car parking in an excellent location. A willingness to take a flexible approach to meeting new tenants’ requirements has been paying dividends and this recent deal reinforces the thought behind this approach.”

Mark Siddons of Cooke & Arkwright added: “The Caspian Point development is located close to the National Assembly for Wales, with other nearby occupiers including KPMG, Atradius, ITV Wales, Creditsafe, Arup and Acuity. Alongside established occupiers, it is encouraging to see the recent deal demonstrating continued faith in the Bay area from occupiers, and the continued demand for well-specified office accommodation.”

Set beside Cardiff Bay’s leisure district at Mermaid Quay and world-renowned cultural hub at the Wales Millennium Centre, the Parmer Cardiff Waterside estate in total comprises over 300,000 sq ft of office space across six office buildings along with a 1,250 space multi storey car park.
