New Music Festival at revamped Swansea Amphitheatre

Credit: Swansea Council

Residents and visitors to Swansea are being urged to take their seats this weekend for a three-day free celebration of all things music, set to take place at the recently updated Swansea Amphitheatre, located between the Marina and LC2.

This exciting event is part of Swansea Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance outdoor performance spaces, following the successful acquisition of £180,000 in funding from the Welsh Government.

Taking place from 16th – 18th August, there will be a fantastic lineup of music-themed entertainment, featuring beloved film viewings and live performances from some of the area’s most talented artists. Best of all, this incredible festival is completely FREE to attend.

Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “This is brilliant news for the city centre, for our newly-refurbished ampitheatre and for anyone who loves free summer music events.

“It’s all part of the council’s continuing investment in our city’s cultural scene, creating great free events for everyone to enjoy and supporting local businesses by increasing footfall in the city centre.

“On top of that, if you live in Swansea you’ll be able to get there for free if you go by bus and your journey starts before 7pm.”

Refreshments, including a licensed bar and barbeque will be available throughout the festival, ensuring attendees can enjoy a complete festival experience.

Come and be part of this musical extravaganza, celebrating the vibrant culture and community spirit of Swansea. For more information and updates on the festival lineup, visit the Enjoy Swansea Bay website: visitswanseabay.com
