Cardiff Council has announced that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Victoria Park Splashpad will be closed for the remainder of the current season.
This closure is the result of failures with the sump pumps that supply water to the feature, as well as the pump responsible for chlorine distribution.
Despite thorough efforts and collaboration with contractors, it has been determined that the necessary replacement parts, which must be sourced from Europe, will not be available until the autumn.
The Council understands the disappointment this may cause to visitors and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience.
The council is committed to ensuring that the Splashpad will be fully operational for the next summer season.
