The popular Spooks in the City event makes a welcome return to Swansea on Saturday, October 26.

This free annual event forms part of Swansea Council’s ongoing efforts, to offer families high-quality fun days which are either free or low cost.

For the second year, the spooktacular fun day will be held at St David’s Place, near the former Iceland store and just across the Copr Bay bridge from Swansea Arena. Supported by Childcare Offer for Wales.

As part of the calendar of events run by Swansea Council, the promises to be ghoulishly good fun with Halloween-themed entertainment, interactive activities and live shows from local dance schools.

Council cabinet member for Investment, Regeneration, Events & Tourism, Robert Francis-Davies said:

“The activities will have a family-friendly focus and will be free—helping to relieve some of the financial challenges that many are currently facing—and will also provide a boost for local traders at the start of half-term.

“This is one of a number of events planned for the city centre in the build-up to Christmas, as we look to make it a place that people want to visit, stay and enjoy.”

Taking place from 11am to 4pm on October 26, the spooky fun day will also feature:

  • Mad Science interactive activities at 12pm and 2pm
  • Family entertainment
  • Live shows from local dance schools
  • Games and interaction throughout the day
  • Free Halloween-themed fun rides
  • Face painting and air tattoos
  • Science and Halloween-themed games
