A friendly and welcoming drop-in zone for 16 to 25-year-olds is opening in a new city centre location on Monday 4 November.

Qualified youth workers will be on hand to help with advice and information on floor three of the Information Station in the former railway station building in Queensway.

Young people will be able to get support on a range of topics and issues including education, employment, training, housing, homelessness, finance, budgeting, health and wellbeing.

Councillor Deb Davies, Newport City Council’s cabinet member for education and early years, said: “This is a fantastic space and adds to the youth services offer in the city. As well as the work they already do in the community, this provides an accessible facility in the city centre for young people aged 16 to 25.”

The hub will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am to 4pm in term time. Engagement sessions will be held during school holiday periods.
