The Easter Bunny will be handing out prizes from Morgan Quarter businesses this school holiday.

Morgan Quarter’s free ‘Easter extravaganza’ on Saturday, April 19, will see the Easter Bunny taking photos with families, and offering a lucky dip of more than 100 prizes from participating businesses.

From 11am onwards, passersby will be able to take part in the lucky dip outside Fresh Baguette Bar (32 Royal Arcade), with the Easter Bunny roaming around the Morgan Arcade and Royal Arcade.

Prizes include free Jelly Cat toys from Welcome Things, £20 vouchers for fossil shop Dino Fossils, £25 vouchers for menswear retailer Unit 17, 20% off vouchers from Over Seas Apparel and 10% discounts from Bird & Blend Tea Co, among many others.

Between Wednesday, April 16, and Saturday, April 19, an Easter Egg Trail will also take families on a tour of Cardiff’s historic Morgan Arcade and Royal Arcade. Starting at Pen & Paper (13-17 Royal Arcade), participants can collect a map to guide them on a tour of the Morgan Quarter in search of 10 large Easter eggs printed in shop windows.

Once all the eggs are found, the trail will finish at Maple & Bean (28 Morgan Arcade) where children can collect a chocolate goody-bag as a reward for finding all the eggs.

Maple & Bean owner Abbie Downey said: “It was so brilliant to see so many families take part in the Morgan Quarter’s Easter event last year. It’s always such a lot of fun and a marvellous time to get out of the house for an explore.

“There’s such a lot happening in the city centre over Easter weekend so it’s easy to make a day out of it with a stop off at the Morgan Quarter to get involved in the festivities.”

Marika Jones, Morgan Quarter centre manager, said: “We’re very pleased to be bringing back our Easter Egg trail which has proved extremely popular every year.

“The Easter holidays offer a great opportunity to spend time with children as the weather begins to warm up, but we know it can be difficult to find engaging things to do that don’t break the bank. That’s why we’re really pleased to be offering this fun activity free of charge to anyone who wants to join in.

“The Easter Egg Trail is a great way to discover everything our incredible arcades have to offer and, if you’re lucky, bag yourself a great prize from one of our brilliant retailers or food and drink outlets.”

Morgan Quarter is open seven days a week between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
