A popular Wrexham-based tourist attraction is offering an egg-citing range of Easter-themed interactive activities suitable for the whole family.

From egg and spoon obstacle-filled races to decorating bunny shaped gingerbread biscuits, Xplore! Science Discovery Centre is providing a jam-packed schedule of entertainment throughout the school holidays.

The North Wales centre has already unveiled its rebranded ‘amazing eggsperiments’ live science show which hosts a variety of new demonstrations to crack open the mysteries of physics and chemistry during the 30-minute programme.

Starting on the weekend, visitors will also find Xplore! hosts a dedicated tabletop ‘eggstacle’ contest in which teams can challenge each other to overcome various hurdles using tools to help them bridge gaps – all while balancing a toy egg.

The tourist attraction is also offering a free, no-admission-required, egg and spoon obstacle course in its walkway which will test people’s agility, coordination, and teamwork.

In addition, attendees are invited to get creative by decorating and colouring paper eggs in its lunch area as well as browsing the updated lines in the gift shop, which features a new crystal jewellery range as well as space and dinosaur themed items.

Xplore!’s education coordinator Cerian Kassam said: “I truly believe the activities we have available creatively combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths (STEAM) with Easter-themed fun, so I’m looking forward to seeing our visitors enjoy their experience.

“We’ve put a lot of consideration into each activity to ensure we have something for everyone, with both new and existing family favourites making an appearance, and we hope they spark curiosity in all our guests.”

Xplore! science communicator Casey Edwards said: “The opportunity to showcase science in an entertaining and engaging way is truly brilliant, and I’m excited to see more people demystify the subject by watching our ‘amazing eggsperiments’ live show.

“The demonstrations will use real eggs and weights to delve into their role in food, nature, and STEAM with audience members encouraged to ask questions at the end.”
