This Christmas join Hijinx’s community theatre group, Odyssey, as they follow Hansel and Gedeon on their adventure through the Grimms’ Wood. Showing in the Weston Studio of the Wales Millennium Centre from the 6th– 8th Dec at 7pm and 8th Dec at 3pm, with BSL interpretation for all performances and Audio Description on the 7th December.
Written by Llinos Mai, Hansel, Gedeon and the Grimms’ Woodfeatures a large cast of disabled and non-disabled performers from Odyssey, pupils from Woodlands High School, and haunting, original music by David Roche, composer in residence.
This is the third year Hijinx Odyssey have partnered with Ty Cerdd to facilitate an opportunity for a composer to gain valuable theatre score experience, but the first to be funded through their CoDI programme.

As well as the four exciting performances there will also be an exhibition in the Wales Millennium Centre from 3rdDecember to 7thJanuary, where visitors can explore the mysterious Grimms’ Wood even further, but be careful you don’t get lost! The exhibition will showcase the puppet design process by students from the University of South Wales Creative and Therapeutic Arts degree course.
