Carrier Transicold Southern, part of south Wales-based Glenside Commercials has become the first of its 22 Network Service Partners to sweep the board across the automotive industry’s highly prestigious Performance and Competitive Excellence Awards (PACE Awards). Often referred to as the “Academy Award for Innovation” the awards honour contributors that have seized innovation and evolved with growing demands in changes and expectations of the automotive industry.

[aoa id=”1″]Carrier Transicold Southern, a trading style of Glenside Commercials, provides specialist services and maintenance across South Wales and Southern England for Carrier Transicold, a world leading manufacturer of transport refrigeration units.[/aoa]

It’s the first time that the Glenside Commercials’ trading partner has secured any of the three main awards – Network Service Partner of the Year 2019, the Carrier Safe award (which rewards outstanding achievement for health and safety) and the Training Academy Candidate of the Year. Scoring an outstanding 94% secured Carrier Transicold Southern the top spot across the entire service partner network.

Managing Director, Carrier Transicold Southern, Mark Lovering, said:

“We’re thrilled to be the very first Service Partner to take home all three awards in one year; it’s a testament to all the hard work and dedication the team has put in.

“The standards across the service partner network are always extremely high, so the competition was obviously very tough; we’re extremely proud that we managed to bring home all three.”

Training Academy Candidate of the Year was awarded to Jake Salter, who has been finishing a professional development course accredited by the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) at Carrier Transicold UK’s Training Academy.

    Mark Lovering Commented:

“We’re delighted that the hours of hard work Jake has put in this year has been recognised, it’s a huge achievement that he is rightly very proud of and it marks a fantastic start to what will surely be a long and successful career”.

Glenside Commercials has recently expanded it’s Caerphilly-based business and opened a new trading site in Newport, which also coincided with the transport firm’s 25th anniversary. The growing firm has a workforce of over 100 and its customer portfolio includes companies such as Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Veolia, Dawson Rentals Olleco, Freight Movement and Allied Bakeries.
