The picnic is packed, you’ve remembered the sun cream and the weather forecast looks like great, but what have you forgotten?

There is nothing more exciting than a trip to the seaside when the sun is shining, and although you may have remembered your bucket & spade, as well as your bikini, there is one thing that is definitely not on your list – tide times.

There is nothing more disheartening than arriving at the beach, only to discover the tide is in and it isn’t even high tide yet. That’s the prospect that many of us face.

However, that can be the trade off in order to secure a rare car park space at the seaside.

To make things easier, here are the tide times for the beaches in South Wales today:

•Low 5:10am / (2.96m)

•High 11:28am / (7.24m)

•Low 5:27pm / (3.27m)

These are suitable for Porthcawl/Southerndown/The Mumbles/Swansea and Carmarthen areas
