As Star Wars fans rejoice with the launch of the franchise’s latest space-based saga, Cardiff Bay’s premier entertainment destination, The Red Dragon Centre, is adding to the occasion by offering film fans the chance to meet two special visitors from a galaxy far far away. Two Stormtroopers will be patrolling the Centre on Monday 28th May, meeting and greeting visitors throughout the bank holiday.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will hit the big screen on 24 May and the ODEON in The Red Dragon Centre, which is the only digital IMAX® screen in South Wales, will be showing the film from 00:01 on the Thursday. The all-new story tells of Han Solo’s former adventures in a dark and dangerous criminal underworld as well as the first encounter with everybody’s favourite Kashyyyk resident, Chewbacca. The film allows sci-fci enthusiasts a glimpse into Hans’ origins and sets in motion everything that follows.

Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager for The Red Dragon Centre said:

“There is always such excitement and anticipation with a new Star Wars film. There’s the hard-core fans who will make sure they’re first in line to see it, and those who just want to see what it’s all about – and we make sure we cater for everyone. On the Bank Holiday Monday following the film’s release, we’ll have two white masked-enforcers mingling with visitors at the Centre throughout the afternoon and generally enjoying some down time from the trials of threatening the galaxy with mortal peril!”

The Stormtroopers will be out and about at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.

Tickets for the film can be purchased at ODEON or www.odeon.co.uk. Free online booking makes it easy to bag your seats to the ultimate mortal movie and for a thrilling treat, cinema goers can upgrade to the luxury Gallery VIP area and enjoy unlimited popcorn and soft drinks.
