Cardiff City fans are getting the chance to cheer on the newly-promoted Bluebirds at an open top bus parade this weekend.
To celebrate the team’s successful promotion to the Premier League, a victory parade is being held on the capital’s streets from 3pm on Sunday 13 May.
As part of the event, the team’s players and coaches will be jumping on board an open top bus to enable fans to celebrate alongside their sporting heroes.
The open top bus, will begin at Cardiff City Stadium at 3pm and make its way along Leckwith Road, travelling along Cowbridge Road East and on to Castle Street, before ending its journey outside the castle where a civic reception is set to be held.
Due to the parade, and the Car-Free Day event which is also taking place on Sunday, Cardiff Bus has a number of service diversions in place across the city.
Roads from the stadium through Leckwith and Canton will be closed from 3pm and will re-open after the parade has passed by. However, other city centre roads that are closed for the parade and Car Free Daywill remain closed until 8pm.
