Oakwood Theme Park’s popular Spooktacular events are set to return for another year running with two brand new attractions and even more horrors and chills on hand for thrill-seekers and families to enjoy.

The annual Halloween celebration, which sees the park welcome a host of new spooky rides, attractions and entertainment on top of its usual fun, will take place on the 19th-20th October weekend, as well as every day during the autumn half term from 26th October to 2nd November.
Offering a range of dedicated spooky attractions and scare mazes, Spooktacular will also see a number of live action zombies and scare actors located throughout the park ready to frighten and entertain guests.
New for 2019, Spooktacular will welcome two brand-new themed scare mazes Clowning Around and Y Pentref (the Village). With the circus rolling up into town, who will step inside this world of fun and be entertained by the circus clowns? But beware you don’t get caught Clowning Around! Or will you be brave enough to go where others haven’t dared to go before and enter Y Pentref (the village) through an abandoned mine shaft?

As well as new attractions, the events will also see the return of fan favourites including Hide.Run – Voted our most popular Spooktacular attraction in 2017 and 2018, Hide. Run. returns with a revamped layout and challenge. Evade our blood eating zombies, in a time based challenge to escape the maze.
Witch Hunt, which was nominated for a top award in the horror industry after making the shortlist for the 2019 Scare Awards, will also be available throughout Spooktacular. The live action scare maze uses a combination of specially created audio, lighting and other effects, along with the chilling presence of live actors to thrill guests. In a further twist, visitors will be able to watch the action in Witch Hunt unfold live on screens within the park’s pizza outlet The Haunt.
For those looking for an extra thrill, Oakwood will host its late night ‘Spooktacular Bites Back’ events on 26th and 31st October, where the fear factor will be turned up a notch. During these nights, the park will remain open until 8:30pm, enabling guests to enjoy the Halloween attractions, as well as a selection of Oakwood’s regular rides, in the dark.
Spooktacular and Spooktacular Bites Back events are all included in the Season & Annual Passes or visitors can save up to 10% by booking in advance online.
The Spooktacular events will take place at Oakwood on 19th and 20th October, as well as during the half-term from the 26th October to 2ndNovember from 10.30am – 5pm. Spooktacular Bites Back will head to the park on 26th & 31st October from 4.30pm-8.30pm.
