Echo the Eco Dragonlands at Cardiff Bay’s premier entertainment destination, The Red Dragon Centre, as they kickstart their new eco activities.
The Red Dragon Centre has launched ‘RDC Eco Kids’, which is a series of thrilling learning activities set to run throughout the year in a bid to encourage Welsh youngsters to ‘think green’ and learn more about the environment. Each activity will focus on different environmental themes, with the launch event focusing on plastic awareness.
Children from across Cardiff and South Wales were able to play and interact with the dragon while learning about different types of recycled materials as well as the importance of reducing plastic waste.
The kids took part in a wide variety of fun, educational activities such as building boats from recycled materials with re-create to sail in EggSeeds’ upcycled moat and putting their little legs to the test as they cycled Pedal Emporiums bikes to help power the moat.
Speaking about the new partnership, Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager for The Red Dragon Centre said:
“We are thrilled to have launched our RDC Eco Kids project and to be working with EggSeeds to create fun activities for children in Cardiff and South Wales.
“Plastic awareness is rightfully a hot topic at present, and I think it is important for us to help educate children about reducing plastic waste by encouraging them to ‘go green’.
“This is the first event of its kind for us at the RDC and I am delighted to work with some great organisations to put the event together and support a more sustainable future.”
The Eco Dragon is located just outside the Red Dragon Centre and will be there until Sunday (3rdJune).
