Forth, a Chepstow based medical health care company, has been revealed as a finalist in two Wales Start Up awards categories – Med Tech start up and Digital start up.
The awards, started by Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE and now in their fourth year, recognise the achievements of those ‘who had a great idea, spotted an opportunity and taken the risks to launch’. Winners will be announced on 18 th September 2020.
This past year, Forth has enjoyed significant growth with a successful £500,000 investment raise with Development Bank of Wales, Best Welsh Innovation accolade and the introduction of new products including the Covid-19 antibody test. Forth exists to help people take responsibility to be in good health with a range of home finger prick health check kits biomarker testing such as male and female hormones, nutrition levels, Vitamin D as well as a baseline test.
Commenting on the development, Sarah Bolt, CEO at Forth said:
“Looking after ourselves and being in the best of health has never been more important than now. Recent events have brought this into sharp focus and we have provided that accessibility to everyone through our digital platform. We are delighted to have been shortlisted for both categories and are proud to be based in Wales which has a burgeoning start up community.”
Forth is currently undertaking a national survey to assess how Covid-19 has impacted on mental health and is gearing up to launch a menopause campaign providing access to all women to test for perimenopause and menopause without needing to go to their local GP.
