ODEON Cardiff to offer half price tickets to Cineworld Unlimited Members

ODEON Cardiff at The Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff’s leading entertainment venue, has announced that Cineworld Unlimited Members will be able to use their Cineworld Membership card to purchase half price tickets to any ODEON showing.

Following the news earlier this month that Cineworld will be closing, ODEON is offering Cineworld Unlimited Members 50% off their cinema tickets throughout October. To take advantage of the offer, Members just need to present their membership cards when purchasing their tickets at the cinema. The offer is valid on 3D, IMAX, Premier and all other premium seats.

Nick Price, General Manager at ODEON Cardiff, said: “This year has been incredibly tough for cinemas and cinema goers alike and we hope that by offering Cineworld Unlimited Members the opportunity to get discounted ODEON tickets, these film lovers will still be able to indulge their passion for film. As an industry we have been hard hit by the coronavirus but hopefully 2021 will bring better times and the welcome return of Cineworld.”

And while a number of high profile film releases have been delayed, there will be no shortage of entertainment on offer at ODEON Cardiff as it introduces its ‘Fright Nights’ series, showing a number of classic horror films to coincide with Halloween. This will include: ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’, ‘Halloween’ (1978), ‘Silence of the Lambs’ and ‘The Evil Dead’.

Nick said: “While new releases are being put on hold, it is a great opportunity to watch some all-time great horror films on the big screen. However, there really is something for everyone this Halloween with ‘Hocus Pocus’ and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ making a welcome return for younger film fans.”

    The ‘Fright Night’ series includes:

    • 22nd Oct – Sinister
    • 29th Oct – Nightmare on Elm Street
    • 30th Oct – Halloween (1978)
    • 31st Oct – Silence of the Lambs and Hocus Pocus
    • 1st November – The Nightmare Before Christmas
    • 3rd November – An American Werewolf in Paris
    • 4th November – Hocus Pocus
    • 5th November – The Evil Dead

To ensure guests can enjoy the safer cinema experience in the most controlled environment, ODEON has worked with the UK Cinema Association and UK Government to introduce enhanced health and safety measures to each site.

The Red Dragon Centre, which houses ODEON Cardiff, has also introduced a number of additional safety measures with the wellbeing of both visitors and staff at their heart. The range of measures include a one-way system through the Centre, queuing systems within internal venues, cashless payment systems where possible and an enhanced cleaning regime.
