A Pembrokeshire holiday park is looking to develop a new luxury spa and holiday let in Saundersfoot

A Pembrokeshire holiday park, Bonville’s Court Country Park, has secured a six-figure finance package from HSBC UK to develop a new luxury spa and holiday let in Saundersfoot.

The family-owned business will use the funding to develop a derelict colliery, originally built on the site in 1840, into a luxury spa suite. The upgrades to the park, due to complete in March 2019, will include building two new two-bedroom cottages and a modern penthouse suite to meet rising demand from couples for short stay breaks.

Groundwork renovations will also be made to five of the existing static caravan pitches on the site, which sits just 0.7 miles from the sea front and three miles from popular Welsh holiday destination, Tenby.

John Davies, Director of Bonville’s Court Country Park, said:

“With the bank’s funding we are able to continue growing the business and open up a new revenue stream. We have seen a rise in demand from couples looking for short stay holidays so with HSBC UK’s support, we are now able to meet this demand and diversify our offer.”

Phil Sargeant, HSBC UK’s Area Director for South Wales, commented: “HSBC UK is dedicated to seeing small businesses in South Wales grow, so it is great that our team, led by relationship manager, Andrew Drummond, has been able to put a tailored funding package in place for Bonville’s Court Country Park. We look forward to continuing our relationship with John and his team in the coming years.”
