The ultimate Halloween icon, pumpkins are loved by an increasing number of households all over the UK. As the trend for grander Halloween decorations grows families are now celebrating the day over an increased period, with homes across the country upgrading to bigger decorations as the love of Halloween flourishes.
Up to twice the size of an average pumpkin*, Asda’s Monster Pumpkins are available in select stores from the 15th October for £5.00.
Grown in the picturesque Lincolnshire countryside, the beastly pumpkins are planted in May and grow for approximately 130 days, significantly longer than their normal-sized counterparts, which typically take 90 days to grow. To ensure the best quality pumpkins for carving, Asda works closely with its growers to monitor the conditions to harvest at the optimum time.

These pumpkins reach between 32-40cm in diameter – so they’ll make a big statement for those who want to go all-out for their Halloween decorations.”
This year Asda has a wide range of pumpkins for customers to choose from including:
- Asda Pumpkin – £1
- Asda Large Pumpkin – £1.50
