Procurement software specialist Atamis is the latest business to take space at the 13-storey South Gate House office building in the heart of Cardiff’s city centre.

It has leased a 4,300 sq ft office suite on the Fourth Floor West of the 90,000 sq ft multi tenanted building in Wood Street on a new five year lease, more than doubling its occupation.  The landlord was advised in the transaction by property consultancy Knight Frank.

Atamis was founded in 2009 as a Spend Analysis software provider and now provides end to end procurement solutions to more than 300 clients across the public, private and third sectors in the UK and beyond.

Phil Musgrave, CEO of Atamis, commented: “South Gate House is situated in a convenient place for our people, with its city centre location and good public transport links. When we needed more space as a result of rapid growth in the team, it made sense for us to stay in the same building.

“Atamis has a hybrid working policy which means people work from home some days but are in the office at least two to three days a week in order to foster collaboration and grow our culture. We are delighted that we now have a space which reflects our brand values as this is a key component in our commitment to making Atamis a great place to work.”

Property consultancies Knight Frank, Savills and EJ Hales are joint letting agents for South Gate House.  Mark Sutton, partner in the offices agency team of Knight Frank in Cardiff, said: “Atamis is the latest in a string of recent new lease agreements, and the company’s decision reflects the attraction of the building, which is ideally located adjacent to Cardiff Central Station and the transport interchange, and the refurbishment on offer with new comfort cooling and heating and an exposed concrete soffit.

“The landlord has continued to invest in the ongoing refurbishment of the entire office building, including a new reception, and new office space, toilets, showers and end-of-trip facilities which are now complete.”

South Gate House comprises wings of 4,300 sq ft with flexible floor plates capable of subdivision to suit the specific requirements of incoming occupiers.

Gary Carver of Savills added: “The flexibility and central location are key benefits of South Gate House with flexible lease terms available on refurbished suites from 1,000 sq ft up to whole floors of 8,500 sq ft at competitive rates.”
