South Wales Police has arrested an 86-year-old man in connection with the murders of Harry and Megan Tooze more than 30 years ago. The couple were found dead with gunshot wounds at their Ty Ar y Waun farmhouse in Llanharry on July 26 1993. The force commenced a forensic review of the case in 2023 and detectives have now made an arrest for the undetected murders of Harry, aged 64, and Megan 67. Labour has fallen further behind in the latest Senedd voting intention poll, with Plaid Cymru now holding a clear lead over Reform UK, according to new research from YouGov/Cardiff University. A Rhondda Cynon Taf man has been disqualified from keeping all animals for life after he admitted to causing unnecessary suffering to a dog he kicked and hit. Cardiff will head into 2026 in a stronger position than this time last year to create jobs and attract foreign investment (FDI), according to the latest study from law firm Irwin Mitchell and the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr).
