It might be back to school soon but that doesn’t mean that summer fun is over.
Postponed from its original date in July due to unseasonally high winds and driving rain, Tŷ Hafan’s annual Family Fun Day will now take place on Saturday 9th September and promises to be a great day out.
Activities will run between 12 noon and 5pm in the beautiful grounds of Tŷ Hafan’s hospice on Hayes Road, CF64 5XX with the day kindly sponsored by Cabot.
Admission is just £2 per person with under-twos free of charge making Tŷ Hafan’s Family Fun Day a very affordable day out.
Attractions will include:
- Vintage cars and supercars
- Live music
- Hog roasts, fish and chips, paninis and more food vendors
- Crafts stalls, jewelry, clothes and cake stalls
- Free games and activities
- Mini gym competition
In addition, tours of Tŷ Hafan’s hospice building are expected to be available on the day, depending on circumstances.
Visitors who get the chance to be shown around the hospice will get an opportunity to see where funds raised for the charity go: straight to the essential services Tŷ Hafan provides for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

Those people who booked tickets for the original date of July 15th can use those for admission at no extra charge.
James Davies-Hale, Head of Fundraising, said: “It costs £5.2 million a year for Tŷ Hafan to provide vital care and support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families in our hospice and in homes and communities across Wales and less than 20% comes from statutory sources. In other words, without the amazing kindness, enterprise and generosity of the Welsh public we simply would not be able to do what we do.
“So whatever else people have planned for early September, I’d encourage as many of them as possible to come down to Tŷ Hafan on Saturday September 9th for what promises to be a fantastic day out and all the while you’ll be helping some of the most vulnerable children in Wales in the process.”
