It is one big Air venture for young people in Cardiff as a major indoor attraction was launched this week at Western Leisure Centre, Ely.

A wall to wall inflatable area will be installed every week-end and provide a brand-new leisure experience for children, young people and the young at heart.

James Oakley, Manager at Better Cardiff’s Western Leisure Centre, explains:

“This is the biggest and best Inflatable area in South Wales and is ideal indoor fun activity for all ages.

“It’s jam-packed with exciting new activities and features. You can experience challenging obstacle courses, a six meter high slide area, mega bounce area and push through a basher forest to enter a maze to get lost in. A jelly mountain can be clambered over, the freefall section is already proving popular with our trial users where you take the climb up and then take the leap of faith from height onto the landing zone.”

Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Cllr Peter Bradbury, said:

“Getting more young people physically active is one of our key priorities and this new feature at Western Leisure Centre is a great example of how our partnership with GLL is bringing with it the investment in new activities that can help make that happen.

“There can’t be too many kids in Cardiff who don’t like the idea of bouncing around a huge inflatable and that’s what it’s all about – if you make exercise fun then it’s easier to do over and over again. And if you do it when you’re young, the chances are you’ll keep exercising, and keep reaping the benefits long after.”

[aoa id=”1″]A Welsh company from Tredegar, Airspace Solutions, created the Air Venture asset and is over 500 square meters in size and hosts a toddler area, wipeout balls, basher forest and free fall area and Giant slide – guaranteeing hours of entertainment for everyone!!![/aoa]

Air-venture will be open on week-ends, from Friday evening until Sunday.
See website www.better.org.uk for time slots and costs. It is ideal for children’s parties or groups and suitable for all levels.
