Law firm Blake Morgan acted on more than £215 million worth of deals in Wales in the 2018/19 financial year, across a broad range of deal types including management buy-outs, acquisitions, disposals and private equity investments.

[aoa id=”1″]Led by Partners Rob Cherry and James Williams, notable Welsh transactions included Zip World, Paramount Office Interiors, ALS Managed Services, Fostering Together, Shelton Care, iPulse, DNA (Mining) Ltd, Amberon and Delta Sound.[/aoa]

James said:“Last year was a fantastic one for our team in Wales, who advised on a total of 23 Welsh deals to the value of over £215million. We are proud to have worked with so many successful and ambitious clients across a wide range of sectors. Given the ongoing uncertainty around Brexit, it is particularly encouraging that activity levels were so buoyant last year, and all the signs point to that continuing into the future.”

One of Blake Morgan’s landmark deals last year saw them advising Zip World Group on a management buyout, funded by a significant minority investment from LDC and debt facility provided by HSBC. The Blake Morgan corporate team advised the purchaser on the terms of the management buyout, the terms of LDC’s minority investment and management equity terms and the HSBC funding package.

Sean Taylor, Founder and Director of Zip World Group, said:

“I was impressed with the expertise and advice provided by Blake Morgan who delivered high quality advice, support and commitment at every stage of the process. I was particularly impressed with their ability to deliver effective and pragmatic advice, ensuring that the deal completed within the agreed timescales.”

Blake Morgan has an international portfolio of multi-national client companies ranging from public companies to SMEs, owner-managed businesses and start-ups.
