Families from Caerphilly climbed up the highest mountain in South Wales, to reach the summit of Pen-y-Fan last Sunday (3 June), to raise money for disability charity Sense.
44-year-old resident Vik Yadh, who has organised the Caerphilly Comic Con which will take place this Saturday, led the walk up the mountain. Adults were dressed up as dwarves, elves and wizards, from The Lord of the Rings, while children turned up as hobbits.
The money raised will help build a new sensory room at TouchBase Cymru, Caerphilly, which supports people with complex disabilities.
Vik Yadh, organiser of the walk, said:
“It was amazing and overwhelming to have climbed one of the most popular mountains with children and staff from TouchBase Cymru. Everyone really enjoyed the day out and we had some great support from the community. We hope the fun continues at the Caerphilly Comic Con on Saturday.”
