Arriving in Wales for the very first time, sourdough pizza pioneer, Franco Manca, has announced the opening of a new Cardiff pizzeria, on Church Street.
Opening to the public on 24th October, Franco Manca is celebrating the launch by offering 50% off all food for four days from opening until Thursday 27th October.
Iain Cross, Operations Manager at Franco Manca said: “We couldn’t be more excited to finally open the doors to our very first Welsh home in the heart of Cardiff. Cardiff is a truly wonderful city with a lively food scene, and we’re so excited to bring our delicious sourdough pizza offering to the locals for the very first time.
“So if you live in Cardiff, or are just visiting, pop in, say hi, and try our delicious pizza topped with seasonal ingredients sourced from small businesses across Italy and the UK.”

Franco Manca pizzas are made with slow-rising sourdough, with a mother dough which dates back to the late 18th century, topped with fresh, properly sourced, seasonal ingredients. The dough is made fresh on site, with daily specials on offer, and menu prices starting at just £6.45.
First procured by the pizzeria’s founder, Giuseppe Mascoli, near the city of Naples, the recipe still honours the ingredients and methods that make the age-old style of Neapolitan pizza unique, delicious and world-renowned.
The much-loved pizzeria is also offering the chance for customers to win one of ten tables for two diners on the house, by registering their interest on the Franco Manca website here.
