Cardiff music fans have been going nuts for tickets to catch the Liverpool alternative rock act, forcing organisers to upgrade the show to the 1,000 capacity Tramshed.
Cardiff’s premiere live music venue, Tramshed, today announces it will stage the Merseyside alternative rock band, The Mysterines on Thursday 13th February 2025. Originally announced for the 350-capacity Cardiff venue, The Globe, organisers at TEG Venues were forced to upgrade the show to its 1,000 capacity Tramshed venue after being overwhelmed with demand from Welsh fans desperate to catch this fast rising act live.
Formed in Liverpool, The Mysterines – frontwoman Lia Metcalfe, drummer Paul Crilly, bassist George Favager and guitarist Callum Thompson – are proving to be a true force to be reckoned with in UK rock.
Barely out of their teens, they completely sold out both their 2020 and 2021 headline tours and were selected as one of Amazon Music UK’s Ones To Watch 2022. They’ve since gone on to support Royal Blood and Arctic Monkeys on tour and appeared as special guests to Bloc Party for their huge 20th anniversary at Crystal Palace Park. Fans of the band include some of the hottest tastemakers in UK rock music, including Steve Lamacq, Jack Saunders, Clara Amfo, Dan P Carter and Huw Stephens.
Now touring their new album ‘Afraid of Tomorrows’ – the highly-anticipated follow up to their critically-acclaimed Top 10 debut album ‘Reeling’ – it’s little surprise that fans in Cardiff have been rushing to buy tickets.
The Grade II listed Tramshed is a firm favourite with Cardiff creatives and music-loving communities for its creative and quality programming, welcoming atmosphere and excellent accessibility for access customers.
The advice for those wanting a ticket to see The Mysterines next year is to buy now before it inevitably sells out. Tickets are available now from £20 + bf from www.tramshedcardiff.com
