FAMILIES looking for a fun and free way to celebrate Easter need look no further than Cardiff city centre’s Morgan Quarter, who will be hosting a Easter Trail throughout half term, along with a family-friendly celebration on Saturday 8 April, with special guest the Easter Bunny!

This Easter (1 – 16 April), families are invited to enjoy a free egg-tastic Easter trail through the Royal and Morgan arcades. Families can collect trail maps from participating retailers; receiving a stamp in-store for every egg they find nestled in the shop windows and a special chocolate treat on completion of the trail!

On Saturday 8 April, from 11-4pm, everyone’s invited to join the free family fun day, featuring a special appearance from the Easter Bunny, interactive story time sessions, and arts and crafts workshops with local author and illustrator Jack Skivens. With local musicians performing live, this spectacular event will delight visitors of all ages.

Marika Jones, Centre Manager at Morgan Quarter, said:

“Here at the Morgan Quarter, we’re thrilled to be hosting a fabulous Easter Trail and family fun day that will bring a touch of magic to Cardiff’s city centre this half term.

“These free activities will help families to enjoy everything that our wonderful arcades have to offer. Don’t miss out on the chance to make some special memories with your loved ones and explore our beautiful Royal and Morgan arcades this Easter break.”

The series of Easter egg designs and map featured in the Easter Trail were created by talented local illustrator Chauncé Lewis. Throughout the Easter holidays, 500 of these limited-edition Easter Trail maps will be available from participating retailers in the Morgan Quarter.

Chauncé Lewis, explained:

“I’m very excited to be able to create this work for the public to interact with and enjoy. It was so much fun working on this project and researching into folk art and traditional Easter eggs!”

Events for the family fun day will be ticketed, with free tickets available through Eventbrite. For more information on the Morgan Quarter Easter Trail and event day, visit @morgan_quarter on social media.
