Adventure Travel has responded to customer feedback and amended its 303 and 304 bus services to provide better connectivity between the two routes and also incorporate Cardiff Central Station.
From 31 October, the outbound line of route on the 304 service will change on leaving Custom House Street to include Penarth Road (for Cardiff Central Station), Tresillian Way, Callaghan Square and Herbert Street before resuming its normal line of route from Lloyd George Avenue. The timetable will remain unchanged. On the same day, the 303 Monday to Saturday timetable will be amended to link up with the 304 service at Llantwit Major Interchange, providing onward connections for passengers.
Adam Keen, Managing Director of Adventure Travel, said: “In-keeping with our ambition to listen to our customers and act accordingly, we are pleased to confirm these changes, which provide much better connectivity between routes 303 and 304, providing through-travel possibilities.
“Changing the outbound route from Cardiff to include Cardiff Central Station means that there is now much better connectivity with Transport for Wales train services, as well as longer distance rail services provided by First Great Western and Cross Country. Passengers will be able to connect from arriving rail services onto our 304 route for onward travel to Cardiff Airport, Barry, Llantwit Major and more.
Routes 303 and 304 both offer a range of day tickets and weekly tickets, as well as ‘bundles’ of 10 tickets which will be available from 31 October, to make bus travel more flexible for those who no longer travel on several consecutive days.
