With weather reports predicting that the UK could be in for a turbulent winter, there is no better place to bunker down than in front of a cosy fire.

What better way to shelter from the wind and rain with some decent pub grub and a pint.

We’ve taken great care in finding out when the fires will be lit, most of which are lit daily for customers, with some opting to only light their fires on colder days and evenings. If you’re heading to any of these venues especially for the cosy warm fires, we always recommend contacting them ahead of your visit to ensure they’re lit.. of course.

These are some of the best locals in Wales with log and coal fires…

    1. White Lion Inn, Old Colwyn

Fires are already lit and ready for your next visit.

    2. The Bear Hotel, Crickhowell
