Set in the shadows of the spectacular Caerphilly Castle, the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K will both start and finish on Crescent Road. The course will lead runners in and around the town centre, passing iconic landmarks on a relatively flat course with some undulating points. The giant cheese sculpture, Tommy Cooper statue and the medieval castle dominate the beautiful backdrop to the event.
The course record was set by Dewi Griffiths in 2022 who passed the finish line in 29 minutes and 39 seconds, many elite and competitive entrants are expected to try and take on the record for 2024.
Following on from the success of 2023, Cllr Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said “It was fantastic to see so many people from all over the region coming together to take part in the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K and 2K. The event supports our vision of getting more people, more active, more often. We hope to see everyone again this year!”
Additional information relating to when race packs can be expected, road closure information and other operation details will be shared at a time closer to the event. If you have any questions, please visit the website which provides updated FAQs regarding the event.
