Work to replace and upgrade the Gadlys traffic lights near the main entrance to Aberdare Park will take place from Sunday.
The signals are located where B4275 Gadlys Road meets Glan Road, and the replacement scheme will last around two weeks from Sunday, August 18.
The new LED signals that will be installed are more environmentally-friendly, while the existing monitoring equipment is in need of replacement.
To facilitate the work, temporary four-way traffic signals will be used while the permanent signals are upgraded. There will also be temporary pedestrian crossings in use.
Please be advised that some local traffic delays are anticipated at this junction during the works. They have been scheduled during the school summer holiday to minimise disruption.
The Council has appointed Yunex Traffic to deliver the scheme, which is funded by the Council’s 2024/25 Highways and Transportation Capital Programme.
