Alan Brayley, Swansea Bay Business Club President and Managing Director of AB Glass, will deliver a free online session to help businesses ensure their time at networking events is as productive as possible.
Taking place online via Microsoft Teams from 10am to 11am on Thursday August 26, the session has been arranged by Swansea Council as society begins to open up more from the restrictions of the pandemic and in-person networking events potentially start to return.
It’s the latest business support hour to be organised as part of the council’s drive to help the city’s business community recover from the impact of Covid-19.
Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Investment, Regeneration and Tourism, said: “The last 18 months or so has changed the way many of us live and do business. While video meetings and conferences can be effective, there are many instances – including networking events – that are more useful for businesses in face to face settings.
“So as society opens up more from the restrictions of the pandemic, a session like this will be useful for business representatives who are either new to networking or would like to brush up on their skills.
“Alan is a leading light of the South Wales business community, who has expert business knowledge in many areas, including networking. This is why I’d encourage Swansea businesses to book a place at the online event. The workshop will be concise and very informative.”
Further dedicated online business support hours will follow in coming weeks and months. Recent support hours have focussed on themes including legal advice and social media tips.
