First homes up for sale at new Bellway development within Plasdŵr

The first Bellway homes have been released for sale at Plasdŵr, a new community in north-west Cardiff.

The five-star builder is providing 120 new homes at Rhiwlas, located just off Llantrisant Road near Radyr, which will make up part of the first 630 at Plasdŵr.

The Bellway sales office opened to the public by appointment only earlier this month, with people now able to book a dedicated time slot to visit the development.

The wider Plasdŵr development, described as Cardiff’s 21st century garden city, will comprise up to 7,000 homes, as well as a secondary school, four primary schools, health centres, shops, offices, pubs, restaurants and leisure centres.

The scheme will also include up to 400 acres of green space (40 per cent of the entire development), which will be used for playing fields, play areas, parks and woodland areas.

Sales manager for Bellway Wales, Daniel Shone, said: “With over 1,000 people having signed up to request updates about this development, we were expecting a lot of interest once the homes were released for sale – and this has been the case.

“There’s clearly a need for new high-quality housing in the local area, which we will be helping to deliver as part of this new community.

“Our new homes are an integral part of Plasdŵr, which has taken inspiration from the original garden city values of fresh air, sunlight, breathing room and playing room.”

Bellway recently retained its five-star builder status with the Home Builders Federation (HBF) after more than nine in 10 customers who responded to the HBF’s National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey said they would recommend the housebuilder to a friend.

Those who are interested in purchasing a Bellway home at Rhiwlas at Plasdŵr can book a one-to-one appointment with a sales advisor to have an allotted time to view the site and ask questions.

Rhiwlas at Plasdŵr will comprise a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes with prices starting from £234,995.
