Santa Claus is making a welcome return to our town centres this year and he’s bringing even more festive fun than ever before!
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has announced Christmas Events in the following town centres:
24th November | Ferndale | Lime Street Car Park | 3pm to 6.30pm |
25th November | Porth | Porth Plaza Car Park | 12pm to 5pm |
1st December | Tonypandy | De-Winton Street Car Park | 3pm to 6.30pm |
2nd December | Mountain Ash | Henry Street Car Park | 12pm to 5pm |
Every effort has been made to make this an affordable Christmas event for the residents of RCT and tokens will be available for sale for £1 each on the day to use for each activity. Visitors can expect lots of festive activities including:
A Synthetic Ice Rink – Skates and Skate Aids provided – 1 token per child.
A Giant snow globe – Step inside our giant snow bubble and grab that festive selfie – 1 token per child.
Festive Fun – Spin, turn and whirl on our children’s fun fair rides, (age / height restrictions apply) 1 token per child.
Festive Face Painting – Fancy looking like Elsa or Orlaf? How about the Grinch? Get into the Christmas spirit with our festive face painters. 1 token per child
Santa’s Grotto – No Christmas event would be complete without a visit to the big man himself, so come and meet Santa in his grotto! Each child will receive an age-appropriate gift. 2 tokens required per child.
Craft Stalls – a selection of town centres will have a small Christmas craft fair as part of the festive fun -perfect for those unique Christmas gifts.
The council has also given financial support to a number of town centres who have taken on the responsibility of organising their own Christmas events alongside their town councils and BIDs.

18th November | Pontypridd | Town Centre | 12pm – 5pm |
30th November | Aberdare | Town Centre | 5pm – 7pm |
2nd December | Treorchy | Town Centre | 10pm – 5pm |
8th & 10th December | Llantrisant | In and around the Old Town centre | 10pm – 5pm |

Why not Get into the Christmas spirit this season by popping along to as many town centre events as you’d like? Don’t forget our town centres are full of great places to eat and shop so you can really make the most of it!
