Glamorgan Cricket will host a minimum of 12 Men’s Internationals and five Women’s Internationals between 2025 and 2031

The venues hosting England Men’s and England Women’s International matches over the seven-year period from 2025 to 2031 have been announced. Glamorgan Cricket are delighted to be hosting 17 fixtures at Sophia Gardens including welcoming back India and Australia in bumper International encounters.

Glamorgan will host India in One Day International action in 2026 and then for an IT20 match in 2028. With International

With a minimum of five Women’s Internationals at Sophia Gardens across the next seven years, the venue hopes to assist in the rapid growth of the Women’s game across Wales and England, and showcase what the Women’s game has to offer on a global stage.

Allocations have been announced for seven years, rather than the previous five-year period, to give venues greater certainty and to encourage sustainable investment in facilities. For the first time, the same process has been used for allocating Men’s and Women’s International matches over the same period.

Richard Gould, ECB Chief Executive Officer, said: “This year’s Men’s and Women’s Ashes are only days away, but fans can already start looking forward to more great clashes up and down the country in the years ahead.

“For the first time, we are announcing long-term allocations for Women’s international matches as well as Men’s. We have seen huge growth in attendances for Women’s matches in recent years, with this year’s Women’s Ashes smashing previous records, and we want to build further on this in the years ahead.

“By announcing arrangements for the next seven years, we are also giving venues long-term certainty so that they can invest sustainably into stadium improvements and improved fan experiences.”

Hugh Morris, Glamorgan Chief Executive Officer, said “We are always delighted to host International fixtures here in Cardiff, and we are thrilled to be welcoming some of the best teams in the world to Wales.

“We have amazing fixtures to look forward to already, with India and Australia returning to Sophia Gardens, and we are extremely excited to be welcoming England Women to Sophia Gardens for at least five fixtures in the period.

“It is an amazing time to be a cricket fan, and by having these fantastic fixtures in Cardiff, I am sure that the love and passion for the game will only continue to grow in Wales, and we can’t wait to say Croeso to all the teams who visit Sophia Gardens over the next seven years.”
