Contracts have been signed and planning consent approved for a 12-home scheme at Swn-y-Mor, a former commercial site and now a derelict eyesore.
Andrew Bennett executive director at Swansea-based Family Housing, who commissioned the development stated: “We are delighted to be partnering with Hygrove Homes on this project. The scheme will produce 12 high-standard homes to help meet local demand for affordable housing and benefit the local community.

Ben Francis of Hygrove Homes added:
“Being a family firm we know the value of keeping a community together. We’re pleased to be able to work in partnership with a forward-looking organisation like FHA to achieve that aim”.
Local councillor, Mark Thomas, said he was looking forward to work starting. “I’m obviously in favour of development that offers affordable homes to local families. House prices in Gower are prohibitive and this development will go some way to allowing people to stay in the locality”.
