A development in south Powys, built by one of Wales’ leading housebuilders, has sold half its homes.
Persimmon Homes’ Maes y Rhos site in Ystradgynlais has already seen customers move into 20 properties in the town, with a further 22 to come.
Local people who want to move into a high-quality home, built by a five-star developer, are being encouraged to express their interest now. Two, three, and five-bed properties at Maes y Rhos are available from £219,995.
The homes at the development, which sits on the border with the Brecon Beacons National Park, can be purchased via Help to Buy Wales, meaning eligible customers can buy a home worth up to £300,000 with a minimum deposit of 5%.
Ystradgynlais, only a 15-minute drive from Swansea, has the convenience of a local Tesco superstore and a range of traditional facilities and services, including schools and a Community Hospital, while the River Tawe is one of the local landmarks, running through the town.
Commenting, Persimmon Homes West Wales Sales Director Sharon Bouhali, said:
“I am delighted to see so many people choose our Maes y Rhos site to make their home.
“Persimmon prides itself on providing affordable and high-quality homes to local people and we want to impress that there is still a chance for a few households to snap one up before they’re all gone.
“Ystradgynlais is a brilliantly located town, being on the foothills of the Brecon Beacons with easy access to a city like Swansea with all its amenities and opportunities.
“I urge all those who want to take advantage of our top-quality site to get in touch with us.”
