One of Wales’ leading medical supply companies has announced a key reorganisation at senior board level as the company enters a new period of strategic growth.

Hospital Innovations, which is based in Talbot Green, has promoted Compliance and Operations Director, Sarah Lister-Sims to become the company’s new Managing Director, while Phil Davies has been appointed Chair of the company’s Board.

Sarah has worked for Hospital Innovations for more than 10 years, joining in June 2009 in her most recent role. Before this, she has worked in a number of key senior positions that make her suited for her new role, including launching a polycarbonate bottle manufacturing business as well as helping deliver the Welsh Assembly Government’s flagship High Growth Programme.

In her new role, Sarah will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the company, including planning and implementing long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives.

Phil Davies founded Hospital Innovations in 2008 and the company has recorded significant and consistent growth since. Under Mr Davies’ leadership, Hospital Innovations initiated the first tissue return service in the UK, proving economical for customers and forging the way for the practice to become industry standard.

In his new role as Chair for Hospital Innovations’ Board, Phil will be developing new business opportunities as well as working with key hospitals and surgeons to enhance the product offering and services.

Speaking about her new role, Sarah said: “I am honoured to have been appointed as the new Managing Director for Hospital Innovations.

“I look forward to carrying on building on the success Phil has achieved and developing Hospital Innovations further, while also working closely with the team to further reinforce the company’s position as one of the leading Welsh and UK-wide specialist medical supply companies.”

Phil Davies, Chair of Hospital Innovations’ Board, said: “Sarah has been an outstanding member of the team since she joined us more than 10 years ago and this role is a natural progression for her.

“I am confident that Sarah will be making key strategic appointments in the future and I am confident that the plans we are working on and the new products we are bringing to market will further demonstrate Hospital Innovations’  commitment to the whole industry and to enhancing patient care in the UK and beyond.”

Founded in 2008, Hospital Innovations is a Human Tissue Authority (HTA) licensed supplier of specialist products used in orthopedic and corrective surgeries and works in partnership with five of the world’s leading tissue banks.

The Talbot Green-based company specialises in delivering innovative, safe and effective solutions to hospitals and clinics and has grown into a global trading company.
