    Life Sciences Hub Wales is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Dr Chris Martin, DL, as Chair, effective 01 July 2024. Dr Martin, who has served as Chair since Augst 2021, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role, having previously held the position of Vice Chair since 2017. 
    Dr Martin, a distinguished pharmacist and former Chair of Hywel Dda University Health Board, has been instrumental in driving forward innovation within the organisation. His deep understanding of the life sciences sector and strategic vision have contributed significantly to Life Sciences Hub Wales’ mission to foster health, care, and wellbeing innovation across Wales. 
    Under Dr Martin’s leadership, Life Sciences Hub Wales has strengthened its role as a critical partner to NHS Wales and a hub for industry collaboration, supporting initiatives that drive economic growth and improve healthcare outcomes throughout the region. 
    Cari-Anne Quinn, Chief Executive Officer of Life Sciences Hub Wales, expressed confidence in Dr Martin’s continued leadership, remarking, “We’re privileged to have Chris at the helm once again. His strategic acumen and unwavering commitment to our mission will ensure that Life Sciences Hub Wales continues to thrive as a catalyst for innovation in health and care.” 
    Dr Chris Martin, shared his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “It is an honour to continue leading Life Sciences Hub Wales at this pivotal moment. I look forward to building upon our successes and working closely with our board and partners to further enhance our impact on both the health and economy of Wales.” 
    Life Sciences Hub Wales remains dedicated to fostering strategic partnerships between industry, health, and social care sectors, with a focus on driving forward transformative innovations that benefit communities across Wales.
