Owners and staff at Tyn Dwr Hall say they are ‘thrilled’ to have been awarded the Best Wedding Venue of the Year North in the Welsh Wedding Awards 2022.
As the team enter their most popular wedding season since opening five years ago, General Manager Tracey Owen said the win was a ‘fantastic achievement’ for all at the stunning Llangollen-based hall.
She said: “We’re so proud of the team here and this award is testament to the hard work they constantly put in to deliver the very best experience to our couples. To have been recognised in a national award is a true honour and we will certainly be celebrating this fantastic win.”
The awards were handed out at The Portland House in Cardiff and Tyn Dwr Hall beat off stiff competition from peers from right across North Wales.
The 19th Century Country Hall will have more than 120 weddings this year and is picked by couples for its fairytale charm and modern renovation completed by owners Knights Construction in 2015.
With weddings able to take place on the lawn, looked over by historical Welsh countryside and indoors in the purpose built Garden Room, it’s also home to 60 bedrooms, including glamping yurts and bridal suits, as well as an in-house catering team led by David Cox, who trained in Michelin-star kitchens.
The judges in the Welsh Wedding Awards, recognised the hall’s commitment to high standards in customer service, adaptability and compassion towards its couples and up to 150 guests at a time.
A Spokesperson for The Welsh Wedding Awards 2022 said: “The winners represent the industry’s gold standard that work tirelessly to meet the demands of the couples and their guests.
“The Awards showcase some of the best wedding specialists that operate in the industry, whose excellence and commitment brought them to the forefront of the industry.
“These champions are tried and tested specialists that know how to create a stress-free wedding experience, keeping the romance in the air. We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.”
