More than 390 jobs are to be supported in the Loughor area, bringing a significant boost to the local economy.

Barratt Homes’ brand new development, Chapel Fields, in the sought after area of Loughor, Swansea, will see 78 new homes created to meet rising demand for property in the region, including 14 affordable homes.

Due to launch later this year, the development of three and four bedroom homes will offer a range of stylish properties in a desirable location, which boasts great commuter links to Swansea and Cardiff.

Barratt Homes sales director Richard Lawson said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to create thriving communities, we strive to employ as many local sub-contractors, sales advisors and tradespeople as we can.

“And it’s not only employment which will enjoy a boost. Those moving to our developments are likely to spend the money they earn at local services which will no doubt see a positive effect on the local economy.”

In addition to providing new homes and new jobs, the five-star housebuilder will be providing an education contribution of £100,000 as well as a local highways contribution of £92,100.

Richard continued: “This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on the local economy. And as demand for properties is understandably very high in the area, we are looking forward to playing our part in providing the local community with what it needs.”
