A new luxury housing development in the Vale of Glamorgan, a short walk from a historic priory and close to Ogmore-by-Sea, is now complete.
The Priory Gardens development in Ewenny has been funded by Principality Commercial, the commercial arm of Wales’ largest building society, and property development company Westacres, an associate company of Morganstone Ltd.
The development sits on land that once formed part of the Ewenny Priory estate dating back to the 12th century. It is comprised of five new houses, each with substantial living space and a garden. The Ewenny River runs close by to the development, which is just a few miles from the historic market town, Cowbridge.
The houses are all detached and available with four or five bedrooms, including modern open-plan kitchens, dining and family rooms. Prices started at £789,995, and the houses were met with high demand. All of the properties have now been sold.
Stephen Ryan, relationship manager at Principality Commercial said:
“The Priory Gardens development brings five luxury family homes to one of the most beautiful locations in south Wales. We are pleased to be working with these clients on their first development under the Westacres banner, and it is reassuring to see the level of demand for what is a top quality product in a fantastic location.
“This is just one of a number of schemes that Principality Commercial has been working on in the region as we continue to work with a range of local developers to finance schemes that provide jobs and homes to the people of Wales.”
The development by Principality Commercial follows on from other successful projects across south Wales, including coastal apartments in Ogmore and Penarth, and an extensive homebuilding project at The Mill in Ely.
Ian Morgan, managing director of Morganstone Ltd said:
“It is exciting to see how much demand there is for new properties in the Vale, particularly in such a stunning location as Ewenny. Principality Commercial’s support has been invaluable in ensuring Priory Gardens was completed to the highest of standards, and we look forward to working together again in the future.”
